Hi Guys, my names Laura and I'm a fashion student from Glasgow. I've decided to start my own fashion blog as I've been so inspired by everyone else's. I'm a pretty worked up person, not your typical art student, but I love what I do and the end result always makes the work worth while.
For my first EVER post I thought I'd show you my project for today; making a bag from a pair of men's jeans (size = large). Anyway, it was my first attempt at this and I didn't even get it all finished. Hope you like/ get inspired by it!
Firstly, get a hold of your dad's, boyfriend's, uncle's or even grandad's (fashionable old man's) jeans....
Next, rip them to pieces...
That was the fun part. Now you can use the flat fabric to cut out shapes which you will pin together to sew into a bag...
And Voilà!
For my bag I used the button from the jeans on the strap...
And I used eyelets to give scrunched up edges..
I've still to add extra eyelets at the top of the bag so that the bag will be able to fasten, I'll post the final picture tomorrow! A Sweet Goodbye to you all.
